The Antigua & Barbuda Social Security Board (ABSSB), wishes to advise that effective April 1, 2025, physical cheques will no longer be used for the payment of short-term benefits.

This initiative is part of the ABSSB’s continued quest to reduce its carbon footprint towards improving operational efficiency and its commitment to fulfill its motto, of “growing to provide for you”.

As such, payments will be made directly through Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) and we are encouraging all beneficiaries to ensure that their necessary banking details are accurately provided when completing their benefit application forms.
