The Director, Deputy Director and Compliance Manager of the Antigua and Barbuda Social Security Board (ABSSB) met with representatives of the Antigua & Barbuda Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ltd. and the Antigua & Barbuda Employers’ Federation on Thursday 31st May 2018 to discuss the implementation of the $100 penalty fee per page for the submission of incomplete or incorrect information as of 1st July 2018.
To this end, both the Antigua & Barbuda Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ltd. and the Antigua & Barbuda Employers’ Federation expressed their appreciation for the need by Employers to comply with the Social Security Office by paying keen attention to the information presented on the Remittance Form; and, to ensure the accuracy of same before submission to the ABSSB.
Further, it was agreed that in collaboration with key stakeholders, the ABSSB would commence an education and information campaign prior to the implementation of the penalty fee as of 1st July 2018.
The ABSSB has made a commitment for ongoing consultations so that stakeholders will appreciate the administration of the Social Security Fund as it continues to grow to provide for the citizens of Antigua and Barbuda.
