The Antigua & Barbuda Social Security Board wishes to notify the general public that its office will be closed at 11:00 a.m on Tuesday 23rd October 2018 to attend the Thanksgiving Service of our dearly departed colleague. The Cashiers, Customer Service and the Registration Departments will close at 10:15 a.m. Normal operating hours will resume on Wednesday 24th October 2018 at 8:00 a.m.

Further, employers and self-employed persons are reminded that remittance payments for August 2018 are due no later than 14th September 2018 to avoid the 10% surcharge. N.B.: For 2018, contribution rates are: Private Sector - 12½% · Employees - 5¼% · Employers - 7¼% Public Sector - 11½% · Employees - 4¼% · Employers - 7¼% Self-Employed persons remain at 10%.   15. In accordance with The Social Security (Collection of Contributions) Regulations, 2013, S.I. No. 15 of 2013, subsection 15 (2), the Antigua & Barbuda Social Security Board (ABSSB) wishes to notify all employers that commencing 1st July 2018, a fee of $100.00 per page will be charged for the submission of incomplete or incorrect information on each remittance form. An incomplete or incorrect remittance form means submissions with: ? missing or incorrect social security numbers; ? missing or incorrect employees’ names; ? incorrect calculations; ? unadjusted earnings; ? missing pay dates [i.e. weekly/fortnightly]; ? missing employer’s name, registration number and/or signature. Employers are asked to contact the Compliance Department at 736-3076 for more information. Thank you for your kind cooperation.
