  1. All employers and self employed persons are reminded that contributions for January 2018 are due and payable no later than February 14, 2018 to avoid the 10% surcharge. Also, the ½ % increase in contribution rate is in effect as of January 1, 2018. Private Sector - 12½ % Employees - 5¼ % . Employers - 7¼ % . Public Sector - 11½ % Employees - 4¼ % Employers - 7¼ % The contribution rate for Self-employed persons remains at 10%. A second Drop Box for remittance payments is located at the Royal Palm Branch; and, is accessible Monday to Friday: 8:00 am - 3:30 pm. Please be guided accordingly.

The general public is hereby advised that commencing 5th February 2018, there will be a change in the operating hours for persons visiting the ABSSB’s Customer Service Department located at London House. Operating Hours: · Monday to Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. · Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. Customer Service Representatives will be available to address queries via the telephone or online until the close of business daily - 4:15 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays; and 4:00 p.m. on Fridays. The ABSSB remains committed to its contributors and beneficiaries as it aims to enhance its service delivery.

The Antigua & Barbuda Social Security Board wishes to advise the general public that with immediate effect the relationship between the Antigua & Barbuda Social Security Board and the GeoTech Company Limited has been severed. Furtherto, the GeoTech Company Limited does not have the legal authority nor did the GeoTech Company Limited ever have the legal authority to sell land at Paynter's Place on behalf of the Antigua & Barbuda Social Security Board. The general public is hereby advised to take note and be guided accordingly.

SOCIAL SECURITY BARBUDA PENSIONERS All Barbudan pensioners, who usually collect their cheques from the Barbuda office and are currently resident at the designated shelters, are advised that your pension cheques will be delivered to said locations for your convenience. Pensioners, who are not resident at the shelters, are advised that pension cheques can be collected from the Social Security office on the corner of Long and Cross Streets beginning Monday, September 25, 2017. SOCIAL SECURITY ANTIGUA PENSIONERS All pensioners who collect their cheques from the Social Security office are advised that the distribution of pension cheques will begin on Monday, September 25, 2017.
