  5. The Antigua & Barbuda Social Security Board apologizes to the pensioners of the Bank of Nova Scotia for the inordinate delay of pension payments for June 2019. The Organization continues to experience funding challenges due to the low returns of remittances. Every effort is being made to secure the necessary funds. Our aim is to release the pension funds for the Bank of Nova Scotia on or before Monday 15th July 2019. Again, we apologize to our pensioners who have been affected by the current situation.

  6. All, employers and self-employed persons are reminded that remittance payments for June 2019 are due no later than 15th July 2019 to avoid the 10% surcharge. Further, employers are asked to take due care when submitting the monthly Remittance Form [R5A] as any incomplete or incorrect information will attract a penalty fee of $100 per page. N.B.: For 2019, contribution rates are: Private Sector - 13 % - Employees - 5½ % - Employers - 7½ % Public Sector - 12 % - Employees - 4½ % - Employers - 7½ % The contribution rate for Self-employed persons remains at 10%. Remittance payments can be made via the Drop Box located at the Royal Palm Branch. Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
